• Managed the day to day implementation of sanitation protocols and safety measures to achieve productivity and quality objectives and to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Maintaining product quality and safety by ensuring that all packaging equipment and all ancillary areas within the processing facility is sanitized daily and meets Dole’s standards for food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices as well as all applicable Federal, State and local food protection standards.
• Ensure compliance with all Quality and Food Safety Management standards and/or systems to ensure continual improvement and effectiveness of the Food Safety Management System.
• Maintains program of inventorying and ordering cleaning chemicals, cleaning equipment and replacement parts for the Sanitation Department.
• Develop and implement training for new hires and cross training programs for Sanitation/Production Department employees. Including, hiring, coaching and terminating personnel in English and Spanish.
• Review sanitation records, CIP charts, CIP flow rates and chemical concentrations for accuracy.
• Conduct and document monthly meetings on subjects such as safety, good housekeeping and company policy.
• Monitor and document process equipment condition through scheduled food safety preventive maintenance and inspections.
